An important aspect of building your online
business is having a mechanism in place that
allows you to communicate with your list of
subscribers.
Business organizations that can provide this
mechanism for you offer services known as
email autoresponder services.
These services allow you to send various
messages to your list of subscribers.
The two most common types of messages that
can be sent are the follow up message and
the broadcast message.
Follow up messages are those messages that
can be prepared and scheduled in advance
to be sent at intervals from the sign up
date of the subscriber. For example, you
may have a welcome message ready to be sent
immediately after someone signs up. And then
you may have another message scheduled to
be sent three days after that.
Broadcast messages are those messages that
can be sent immediately or scheduled for
a specific day and time. For example, you
may have a time sensitive announcement to be
sent to all your subscribers. A broadcast
message allows you to prepare and send the
message immediately.
