Memorial Day Remembrance

Friday, May 22, 2009 @ 06:05 AM

As we spend this Memorial Day weekend with our
family and friends let us also keep in mind
the true meaning of the day…

- To remember and honor those who have died
in service to the nation -

In December 2000, “The National Moment of
Remembrance Act” was passed into law.

The following information explains the act and was
obtained from the Department of Veterans Affairs
website at:
http://www1.va.gov/opa/speceven/memday/history.asp

“The National Moment of Remembrance encourages
all Americans to pause wherever they are at 3 p.m.
local time on Memorial Day for a minute of silence
to remember and honor those who have died in service
to the nation. As Moment of Remembrance founder
Carmella LaSpada states: “It’s a way we can all help
put the memorial back in Memorial Day.””

So as we gather this weekend, let us also
remember and honor those who gave their lives
in service to our great nation and be forever
grateful to them for our freedoms!

I wish all of you and your families a
very safe and happy holiday weekend!

Weekly Bits Newsletter – 12 May 09

Tuesday, May 12, 2009 @ 04:05 PM

Topics for this week:
– Affiliate Marketing – Easy Does It?
– Focus Thoughts & Forward Momentum
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Affiliate Marketing – Easy Does It?
You’ve probably heard me say this before but
I’m gonna repeat it again anyway…
One of the easiest ways to get started online
is through affiliate marketing.
Why?
- Low start up costs
- No inventory
- Lots of products to choose from
- No long term contracts
- No customer service issues
- No product payments, delivery, or returns
But just because it’s an easy way to get started
doesn’t mean that to be an affiliate marketer
is an easy task!
You still have to learn the techniques
of marketing the product or service and
operating your business.
Some things to keep in mind when marketing:
- Know your customers
- Understand their wants
- Find solutions to help them solve problems
- Build a relationship with your customers
- Provide value to help solve problems
Setting up and operating your business takes time
and skills as well.
- Plan and build for the long term
- Establish your personal foundation by determining
your passions, interests, and strenghts
- Have patience as you learn new skills and expand
your business knowledge
The qualities of perseverance and determination
also go a long way to being successful in
your business.
“Perseverance is not a long race; it is
many short races one after the other”
-Walter Elliot
If you are determined to succeed and have
the perseverance to solve problems and
keep learning you’ll be well on your way
to succeed in the business of affiliate marketing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Focus Thoughts & Forward Momentum

“Determination gives you the resolve to keep going
in spite of the roadblocks that lay before you.”
-Denis Waitley

Identify one roadblock that’s keeping you from
moving forward in your biz and take action to
resolve it this week.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Enjoy your week!
Weekly Bits Newsletter – 5 May 09
Journey To Online Success Weekly Bits Newsletter
Topics for this week:
– Where did my time go?
– Focus Thoughts & Forward Momentum
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Where did my time go?

“Your greatest resource is your time.”
- Brian Tracy

Ever asked yourself where your time went?

Do you have some days that seem worse than
others?

I know I do, but when you stop and think
about that, it’s only a perception right?

We have the same amount of time everyday
and yet some days we seem to get more done,
like we had more time that day.

You may have heard or read about the many
tips available for managing your time including
the importance of…

- Staying organized
- Prioritizing tasks
- Setting a schedule
- Setting goals
- Minimizing interruptions

…to list only a few.

And these are all good recommendations, but
I think one of the most important things to
do first is to find out where your time is
being spent right now.

When I feel my time is really out of control
I’ll take the time to keep a log of what
I’m doing each day.

I’ll start at the beginning of the day, write
down what I did and how long it took, and
document the entire day, including all
activities, especially the routines.

Usually after a week or so of keeping track
I have a pretty good sense of what’s
happening. From there I can adjust those areas
where I’m duplicating effort or just simply
wasting time.

If you struggle with time management and
you’ve never kept track of your time in writing,
I’d like to challenge you to try it at least once.

You just might be surprised at what you discover! :)

“Until we can manage TIME, we can manage nothing else.”
- Peter F. Drucker

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Focus Thoughts & Forward Momentum
“Time is more valuable than money. You can
get more money, but you cannot get more time.”
- Jim Rohn
Evaluate one activity in your business and determine
if the time spent is realistic and worthwhile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Have a great week!
