Who is Really Responsible For Success?

This may really surprise you — but
WE are really responsible for our own
success in life and business.

I know, you already knew this and didn’t
really need the answer. I do believe though
there are times when it’s important to
remind ourselves of this.

Just this week I got caught up in a situation
where I felt I didn’t have any control over
the outcome. But then I realized I did have
choices on how to resolve the situation that
made my life less stressful.

We’ve probably all been there a time or two.
Here are a few quotes on taking responsibility
that I’ve found to be inspiring and good
reminders that we really are responsible for
our own success…

“Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you
who will get you where you want to go, no one else.”
- Les Brown

“You are responsible for your life. You can’t keep
blaming somebody else for your dysfunction. Life is
really about moving on.”
- Oprah Winfrey

“All you have to decide is what to do with the time
that is given to you.”
- J. R. R. Tolkien

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Focus Thoughts & Forward Momentum
“The act of taking the first step is what separates the
winners from the losers.”
- Brian Tracy
What’s the most important step you can take this week?
Do You Need A Website?
Do You Need A Website?
A question that comes up when getting started
online is whether or not you really need
a website.
There are differing views on this and I think
the answer will really depend on your strategy.
If you are in a hurry to get your feet wet
with your online business you can become an
affiliate for another company’s product. Then
you just promote your affiliate link which
will take any potential customers directly to
the company’s website.
By taking this approach you can receive commissions
for any sales and you wouldn’t need your own
website.
If you decide not to have a website, it can save
you time and money because you won’t need a domain
name or web hosting, and you don’t need to learn
about getting a website up and running.
The downside of this strategy is you will not
be building your list of potential customers.
Many people do not buy with their first exposure
to a product and need to hear about it over
and over again before they are ready to purchase.
By sending the potential customer directly to
the company’s website and not capturing their
name and email address, you will lose the
capability to contact them.
If you’re planning to build a long term business
it would be helpful to at least have a simple
website to capture names and email addresses.
This will allow you the opportunity to contact your
list multiple times about similar products
that may be of benefit to them.
There are many ways to get started online. Keep
in mind it is possible to make income with or
without a website. Your strategy will help
determine what will work best for your business.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Focus Thoughts & Forward Momentum

“Live life fully while you’re here. Experience
everything. Take care of yourself and your friends.
Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up!
You’re going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy
the process. Take the opportunity to learn from
your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and
eliminate it. Don’t try to be perfect; just be an
excellent example of being human.”
-Anthony Robbins

Enjoy your business and have some fun too! :)

Steps To Setting Up A Business

There are several ways to get started online and
the exact steps you take can vary depending on
your niche and type of business.

I have learned and still find the following
steps are a good guideline for getting an
Internet business started.

Step 1. Choose a niche and then specialize in it.

Step 2. Choose or create a product.

Step 3. Select a good domain name and register it.

Step 4. Get your own website and hosting services.

Step 5. Obtain an email autoresponder service and build a list.

Step 6. Put a business plan in place and use it.

Step 7. If promoting your own product, setup payment and
delivery service.

Sometimes the hardest part of getting started is
just taking action on the first step.

As Brian Tracy reminds us:
“The act of taking the first step is what separates the
winners from the losers.”

Take some action today!

Your business is waiting on YOU! :)

Focus Thoughts & Forward Momentum

Where are you in your journey to get an online
business started?

Which steps above have you considered?

What’s the most important action you can take
this week to move your business forward?

Consider the following quote from Wayne Dyer:
“Go for it now. The future is promised to no one.”
