Setting goals for your home business is
vital, and setting appropriate goals can
help you be successful.
Many people have just one goal in their
mind – to make income. A goal like that
is really not bad, but it helps to specify
in detail your desires, how you will
attain them, and what steps you plan to
take to achieve them.

Alright, the new year is officially here
and started. What are you planning for your
business this year?
If you are achieving the success you want
then it would make sense to continue
what you were doing.

may be time for some change.

Does Summertime Test Your Business Time?
First of all — Happy Summer Everyone!
Summer is such a great time of year! And
in many places school’s out so there’s more
time to get involved in summer activities -
vacations, parties, camping, sports, and
all kinds of super fun activities…
If you’re like me, you may find it difficult
to stay focused on business activities when
there’s so much else going on.
But despite all the busyness, I think
summertime is a great time to re-energize
your life and your business!
I know when I can just let go and have fun
it helps to clear my mind. Then when I get
back in the office, I have a fresher perspective.
A way I’ve found to balance things out is
to be very clear on goals and what needs to
be accomplished during business time. That
way I can take full advantage of my time and be
more productive.
So now may be a good time to take a look at your
business goals, determine your priorities and
get clear on what needs to be done.
This can help increase productivity during business
time and allow more time to engage in those great
summertime activities!
Your business will continue moving forward and
your family and friends will love having you
around for more summertime fun!

What Are Your Dreams?
Remember the first question in establishing
your personal foundation for success…
Why do you want an online business?
Of course many of us want to make extra
income, but what about the other benefits
like being able to:
- Work from home
- Spend more time with family
- Travel
- Give more to charity
- Buy a new car or home
These are our dreams aren’t they?
…to have more time and money to be able to
do more and spend more time on what’s really
important and valuable to us.
Knowing your dreams and reasons for wanting
an online business is the key to keeping you
motivated and focused on your journey to
online success!
It’s helpful to write your dreams down so
you can review and clarify your list over time.
The more clearly you can define what it is you
want the better chance you have of obtaining it.

Terminology
Here are some common Internet Marketing (IM) terms:
Guru - This term refers to people who have been
successful in a specific area, such as IM, and
who are considered experts in that field.
Mailing List (or Subscriber List) – A list of
people and their email address that was obtained
by people opting in to be on a specific list.
Sales Copy – The information on a website that
promotes a product or service and pursuades the
visitor to make a purchase.

Impulse Buying
Your email’s bombarded with new product launches…
The products promise awesome success…
There’s a limited supply and time is running out…
So what do you do?
Do you feel the urge to have to buy right now today?
When you are searching for the right answers
and want to be successful, it’s easy to get caught
up into the hype isn’t it?
We make decisions based on information we may
not have thought through or in hopes it really
is the right answer this time and we don’t
want to miss out.
Over the years I’ve learned a little trick to help
make better decisions and get past these situations.
And that is to wait for at least one day before
making the purchase.
Many times just by stepping away for a little
while you will get the edge you need to think
about it more logically.
Sometimes it helps to ask questions:
- Does this fit into my business goals?
- Am I ready to use this information?
- Is it something I will take action on?
If it still makes business sense to make the
purchase, then buy it. But if you’re not as sure
now as you were initially, then take some more
time to think on it. If it doesn’t fit your plan
then you can be comfortable in making the decision
not to buy.
This even works when you’re out shopping and
see something you feel you just gotta have.
Give it a day before you buy and you just might
end up saving yourself some money…
